Hanifa SS24
Anifa Mvuemba, creator and founder of the Black woman-owned contemporary luxury brand Hanifa, has released her SS24 collection. Full of new silhouettes, pops of color, and playful textures, she clearly aims to be our one-stop shop for summer attire. From vacation core to date night, the possibilities are endless with these designs. Although the collection was released a while ago (I know I’m late to the party), I still wanted to post about it. :)
Here are some of my favorite picks:
Carmen Knit Dress

Such a showstopper! It's giving me Miami fever! This dress is designed with a one shoulder neckline, cut out on the side, and a handkerchief hemline. Paired with the Zalia boots from the new collections to give a fun, eclectic, and effortlessly cool girl look.
2. Gisele Knit Maxi Dress

A form-fitting, V-neck, knit maxi dress. Adorned with slits on both sides and an orange abstract design, this dress can be worn down with a cute pair of flat sandals. Or for a more elevated, sexier look, can be paired with high heels to give your legs length and definition. The side slits will give a nice amount of peek to your legs.
3. Dalila Maxi Dress

This simple sundress with a halter neckline, is adorned with bows, giving a little taste of coquette. This design includes a lace-up back for the perfect cinch. This dress screams vineyard or vacation on the coast. She's just a girl. Available in two colors: Sand (as show in picture) and Bubble Gum Pink.
4. Clarise Knit Maxi Dress

Can't you tell I love knit textures ; ) This knit dress with a ribbed texture, has a form-fitting contour that gives the hourglass silhouette effect to those who wear it. This dress is as sexy as it is sophisticated. In the product picture, it's paired with statement jewelry. The metallic accessories paired with blue was very reminiscent of Jacquemus to me. I definitely can see this being paired with Jacquemus accessories like the La Pouchette Rond Carre in silver or snakeskin. It has a stretch factor of 3/3 so it's very forgiving. Only available in Azure Blue.
5. Sarai Knit Maxi Dress

Va Va VOOM! The silhouette, THE COLOR! This design is such a knockout! And the model really gives this design justice. Made of lightweight knit, this design has meticulous lines to accentuate the woman form! With the dress less is more, and must be the main event. A pair of statement earrings, bangles, or an arm cuff would pair nicely. Available in two colors: Orange slice (shown in pic) and Azure Blue.
6. Myli Knit Maxi Dress

Another knit dress (unapologetic about it)! So sexy and chic! Adorned with a knit flower applique (of the same texture), this design calls for confidence! Very modern Sex in the City! I feel most would think this is very Carry Bradshaw, but I honestly think this is very Charlotte York! Available in two colors: Magenta (shown in pic) and Butter.
7. Zalia Boots

Love a good statement shoe. The silhouette of this shoe gives a little cowboy without the stitch pattern. Made with cow leather, these knee high boots have a 4-inch heel and are wide-calf friendly. The pointed toe adds to its charm. Take these bad boys out for a night on the town. Recommended to be paired with Alara Dress or Carmen Knit Dress. Only available in one color: Fuschia.
